| description  = Colonia Ulpia Traiana Ratiaria, commonly referred to as Ratiaria, was a significant Roman city located in the province of Moesia Superior, in what is now modern-day Bulgaria. Established in the late 1st century CE, it became an important military, economic, and cultural center of the lower Danube region. Despite its prominence in antiquity, Ratiaria fell into decline and was eventually abandoned, leaving behind archaeological remains that are still being studied today.
